The Christmas holiday can be so hectic with the shopping and wrapping and traveling, but there is nothing like sitting down to a meal with the people closest to you. That’s exactly what we did on the last day of school before the holiday break with these Urban Promise seniors. These kids are such a big part of our lives that we thought a family dinner at Christmas time was fitting, so we brought them home, they played some games, ate a huge meal, and they told some funny stories. They even helped with the clean up completely. What a wonderful reflection on the Urban Promise Ministry these students are when we’re with them! Our New Year’s 2016 wish for them is that they stay focused on the studies, graduate and move on to a good college. But not too far away, we wouldn’t want to lose touch!
